At FINNese Dog Grooming, every dog receives dedicated one-to-one care in a calm, cage-free environment. I believe grooming should be a positive and enjoyable experience; your dog will always be treated with the same love, patience, and attention they receive at home. As a fully insured groomer and proud member of the International Professional Groomers Association (IPG), I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of professional grooming and animal care. At the end of the grooming appointment your dog won’t be waiting in a kennel or cage, instead they can choose to relax on one of the many cosy dog beds in my living room or, if they’re happy to do so, enjoy a gentle play with my own friendly dogs while they wait to be collected. My aim is to provide a genuine home-from-home experience, where every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they arrive until it’s time to go home, looking and feeling their very best. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I am lucky enough to share my home with three wonderful companions: Buddy, my rescue Bichon Frisé who’s very calm; Lomy, also my rescue, a fun-loving and incredibly friendly Yorkshire Terrier; and Brian, the Jack Russell × Whippet, who likes to think he’s in charge. Sadly, my pride and joy, Finn — the beloved Ambassador of FINNese Dog Grooming — crossed the Rainbow Bridge in May 2026, at the grand age of 14.
At FINNese Dog Grooming, I provide high-quality, one-to-one grooming for ‘small to medium-sized’ pet dogs in a safe, calm, and hygienic bespoke grooming pod. Before every groom I carry out a thorough health check to help identify any visible changes or concerns. This includes checking your dog’s body for any unusual lumps or bumps, examining their teeth and gums for signs of plaque or inflammation, and inspecting their ears for any noticeable odour or irritation. Should I notice anything that may require further attention, I will always let you know. To ensure your dog leaves looking and feeling their very best, every groom includes a finishing touch of a stylish collar bow, a nourishing coat conditioning spray, a spritz of dog-friendly cologne, and a seasonal themed bandana. PRICES: Please note that all prices are ‘starting from’ and may vary depending on your dog’s coat condition, temperament, coat type, and the time required to complete the groom. If potential additional charges can be foreseen, these will always be discussed with you before commencing the groom. PUPPY CONFIDENCE PACKAGE: Giving your puppy a positive introduction to grooming is one of the best investments you can make for their future. Once your puppy has completed their vaccinations, it’s the perfect time to begin. At this age, puppies are naturally more curious, adaptable, and accepting of new experiences, making it much easier to build their confidence. My ‘Puppy Confidence Package’ is designed to create calm, happy experiences that help your puppy feel safe and relaxed in the salon. Every session finishes with playtime, cuddles, and plenty of positive reinforcement, ensuring your puppy leaves with happy memories of their visit. WHATS INCLUDED ? The ‘Puppy Confidence Package’ gently familiarises your puppy to the sights, sounds, smells, and equipment used in the salon. Over the puppy sessions they will experience: ● A gentle bath ● Blow-dry and brush ● Paw, pad and foot tidy ● Nail trim ● Hygiene area trim ● Eyes carefully cleared where needed ● Plenty of reassurance, praise, and positive handling throughout. HOW IT WORKS: The package is spread over 3 appointments (additional sessions can always be added if needed), with appointments being, ideally, 2 weeks apart. Each visit builds on the last, allowing your puppy to become more confident and comfortable with every stage of the grooming process. By taking things slowly and at your puppy’s pace, we can help ensure their first full groom is a relaxed and enjoyable experience. HELPING AT HOME: Your role is just as important! Between appointments, I recommend handling your puppy regularly by gently touching their paws, face, ears, and body, as well as cleaning around their eyes and feet when needed. Brushing at least twice a week—or ideally daily, every other day, depending on their coat type & breed—will help them become accustomed to being groomed and keep their coat in excellent condition. By working together, we can build your puppy’s confidence and create a lifetime of positive grooming experiences. 1st Appointment: Slowly introducing your Pup to the sights, sounds & smells of the grooming environment (the grooming Pod), & the equipment associated with grooming (table, safety straps, dryer). Includes a nail clip if needed. 2nd Appointment: Revisits everything they experienced in their 1st appointment helping to reinforce the positive associations. Followed by a gentle bath & blow dry, and a gentle brush-out; always working at your dog’s pace & making the experience as positive & enjoyable as possible. Also Includes a hygiene trim, face / eyes cleared & a nail clip if needed. 3rd Appointment: Full Groom. This incorporates a Bath, Blow Dry & Breed-Specific Body Clip/Style. This appointment builds on the positive experiences from your dog’s first two grooming visits, allowing them to become more familiar and comfortable with the grooming environment, equipment, and sounds. If your dog is calm, relaxed, and confident at this stage, they will be ready to progress to a Full Groom, tailored to their breed and individual coat requirements.
Puppy (3-5 months old). Gentle bath using puppy shampoo, with a Blueberry facial wash. Warm blow dry. Brush-out. Ears cleaned. Nails trimmed (if needed). No Body Clipping.

I have been a qualified dog groomer since 2013, and I am also qualified in Canine Behaviour and Canine First-Aid. I am committed to continually developing my knowledge and skills by regularly attending industry seminars and training courses, ensuring I provide the highest standard of care and the best possible experience for every dog that visits for their spa day. My priority is always your dog’s health, safety, and wellbeing—not only whilst they are in my salon, but long after they leave. I am always happy to offer advice and support whenever you need it, because I believe building lasting relationships with both dogs and their owners is just as important as the groom itself. Before opening FINNese Dog Grooming, I proudly served in the Police Force for 20 years. During the final 8 years of my career, I worked as an Explosive Police Search Dog Handler alongside my incredible Labrador, Finn, until his retirement at the age of 8. Finn was the inspiration behind the name FINNese Dog Grooming, which is why ‘FINN’ is proudly written in capitals. He was much more than a working dog—he was my loyal partner, my greatest companion, and the heart behind this business. As our much-loved Ambassador, he welcomed countless clients and became a familiar face to many. In May 2026, Finn sadly crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 14. He was my best friend, my constant companion and, quite simply, my soulmate. Although he is no longer by my side, Finn’s legacy lives on every day through FINNese Dog Grooming. His beautiful face remains proudly at the heart of my website — a lasting reminder of the very special boy who inspired it all. His name, his spirit and everything he taught me continue to inspire the love, care, and dedication that I give to every dog that walks through my door.
